Hi all,
I have found a fabby new bread recipe - lovely tall loaf and great texture.
500g strong white bread flour
300ml water
knob of butter
2 teaspoons of salt
Whole sachet of supermarket easy bake yeast
I forgot to note down how long to bake it for! It will be in a small loaf tin. I estimate 30 mins at 180 degrees C (oven not breadmaker) - does that sound right?
I am making 2 this evening so many thanks.

I bake 2lb loaves for 40 mins, so I'd go for 30 mins too for your smaller loaves. You need a hotter oven though, than 180. Use the bread setting which is about 230. Loaves should sound hollow when tapped on the bottom with your knuckles
Give them another 5mins if 30 isn't enough.

Thanks for the advice! I shall set the timer for 30 mins and use the 220 setting - forgot to mention it's a fan assisted oven and always overcooks food.
Ethansmum - don't tease phil, it's not like it's that hard to make breadOld-styler, crafter and freebie junkie!Frogga's Amazing Weight Loss Campaign: Member no.20 since 2/9/07 -- lost 10lbWedding bells 04/10/08
