When you say reasonable do you mean in terms of quality or in price?...what sort of budget are you looking at ?frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
Looking at a good quality reasonably priced place - have about £4k for 30 people.0

And how central. You mean like in the city/west end, or further out - as far as say Chiswick or somewhere.
We looked at a range of venues that I can suggest, but in central central london they ain't going to be cheap..0 -
I guess a lot also depends on what type of wedding you want...and if you want outside space or not...there are wedding packages that are offered at lots of hotels for example Mercure or Mint..but from the exterior lots of the buildings look generic...Mint at westminster might be a option as it overlooks the Thames?frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

There are a milion variables, but I can give you a couple that we considered that might suit. I'm not sure on costs, but most do food for £50-£80 + rental of venue which can be as much as £3000. You may not need exclusive so that could reduce that cost.
Don't forget random extras like dance floors! Which are about £400, and if you want go past 11 there can be extra costs. Just read all the fine print.
I'd also suggest restaurants, as they tend to have excellent food, but not quite as big a venue for dancing etc.
http://www.bleedingheart.co.uk/crypt/weddings.php I know someone who went to a wedding here and loved it. It is next to a church so you can use that and have everything close together.
http://www.danddlondon.com/events/wedding-venues-london do a whole range of venues. Again not sure on price, but at least gives you a wide range of options to look at.
http://www.hardens.com/event-venues/livery-halls/ These are all the livery halls in town. We went to look at a few and they are very cool venues. We didn't find one that was perfect, and they have set hire charges that may be too high for small numbers, but some are very small (the butchers hall, bizarrely, was lovely) and could work for you. Butchers had a lovely formal layout that I loved, with doors that opened later to a small seperate dancing/hanging out space.
They aren't cheap, but lovely and Londony (which some people call old fashioned!). A large number of them use a shared agency, and I know butchers is one. So if you call them they will probably give you the name of the agency, and then they will take you around to a range of them.

Also nice. This was our second choice. Terrible entrance... but lovely little venue.0 -
Sorry - I mean the Brewers hall was the one I liked. If you look at the Livery Hall and the Court Room together. It's still probably a bit big for 30 guests, but nice.0

great thanks - will check some of those out.
i have tried a few of the more exclusive 5 star hotels - all have availabiltiy in 8 weeks time but its the charge for the room that is so expensive - dont mind the extortionate food and drink prices but i draw the line at £3k to sit in the room to eat it

You could look for the private dining venues. like http://www.greigs.com/?gclid=CL3-17bXpKoCFQEd4QodEAK_Vg
If you tell me more what you are looking for - like space for dancing, gardens, exclusive... etc I can find some others. I spent quite some time looking at them earlier in the year!0
