£80 is possible but you'll find it difficult. At least in my opinion. Why don't you just reduce the ME money by half and up the groceries by the same amount. You might be better using soacalc http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html and presenting the information in the MSE format. It'll be easier for us to analyze. You have quite a lot for presents. Who are they for? I'd scrap that unless they are for your own children but you haven't mentioned any CSA payments so I don't think you have any.

And another comment £53 for Gas/Elec for a victorian conversion is not expensive I'd consider that quite cheap.

£80 for one for all meals is definately possible. We spent £110 last month on food for 2 of us.
Nothing on your budget stands out as being overly expensive although someone else on here may disagree!
    Good luck x
  • Thank you both.

Presents - its a wedding present for my brother, also his bday and his wife to be's bday as well so all what they should be.

Personally I wouldn't bother buying a brother's wife to be a bday present but that's me. I don't even buy presents for my sister any more we've got past that and mutually agreed money is tight. I maybe just spend a fiver on a simple item if I see something good but very cheap i.e heavily discounted but that's it.

What is Hair Train £60.30? Is that a once off or an ongoing monthly expense.

  • We always buy presents and this is not something I want to change sorry.

Its monthly train fare sorry of £60.30 so yes every month, nothing in for hair at the moment.

    Thanks, K x
