Wedding Venues - West Yorkshire HELP!!

Time seems to be ticking on quite fast and I still haven't found a venue.

There's been a few ups and downs with our budget (OH Dad, able to give his over children 4-6K for their weddings, but us nada :-( )

Any way thats a WHOLE other rant, but our budget is now smaller than what we expected.

And I just can't find the right venue.

I want a some where that has a nice spot for some group photos, can do a sit down meal for 60.

Possibly a place that will let us bring our own drinks and just charge corkage.

Big enough for a huge night do 160 ish.

I've looked at most venues that come up in searches, Oulten, East Riddlesden, Walton, Nostell, but need something a little more unknown, has any one been / had a wedding that wasn't in the most popular venues, please let me know for I really do need to get it booked soon!

    Hiya,

Don't know if this link will help

    http://www.hitched.co.uk/wedding-venues/west-yorkshire.htm

I used to live in Pontefract but only know places round that area really from weddings i've been to which maybe too far out for you & over your budget. But places are:-

    Wentbridge House
    Rogerthorpe Manor
    Nostell Priory
    Darrington Golf Club
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

We got married at Weetwood Hall in Leeds and it was fab. Can have a wedding as big or as small as you want, they only do one wedding at a time, and we found it was suprisingly cheap for what it was!

Aslo the staff were so helpfull throughout the whole thing! Couldn't recommendit highly enough!
Now a married lady and loving it! Now..to clear that pesky mortgage!

Have you tried Bolton Abbey? Has it got to be West? I'm from Faxvegas but getting married in Skipton. Any golf clubs? The views are amazing from Ogden ie HX gold club. Or what about the Rock in Hx, or Holdsworth House, the masonic Lodge in HX is beautiful too, been going to dos since i was a kid there and it has a licence so can stay all day there with a meeting room, ie what's called a 'temple' for wedding and seperate bar, beautiful garden and a biggish room for meal and reception, not sure on numbers in there though? Or, what about Casa in Halifax, my friend had her's there was great in marque, but does also have outside space and a restaurant?

    Hope this helps x

  • My cousin got married at Bolton abbey and had the reception at the something arms nearby. Will edit when I can remember lol. But it was really lovely!

Devonshire arms- knew I'd remember as soon as I pressed the send button!

They're owned by the same family. So you can prob get a deal with both thrown in. My friends did that too. I work for a magazine in Yorks and we do features and advertise them.
