Hi Ellie
Do you want the 252 (timer beep for adding seeds/fruit) or the 253 (with the seed tray thingy)?
The 252 is the cheaper one and in all honesty unless you make loads of fruit or seed breads it is fine. Amazon usually have good deals on them, Check them out HERE. Also check out the Kelkoo link at the top of the board for the cheapest available prices.
I'm a Panny owner whose machine sees a lot of service and I'm already thinking about what to replace it with when it eventually packs up n me. Must admit I'm currently considering getting a Morphy Richards Fastbake as it has the Jam programme, which the Panny doesn't do. It is also a cheaper machine. Currently £34.99 on AMAZON
Happy breadmakingMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
Proud to be a chic shopper

I know this sounds a long shot but could you bake a loaf with loads of vinegar in it and then feed the loaf to the birds? The combination of vinegar and the heat might clean the machine?0

I have tried bi carb hot water its a swann machine but I always felt the bread needed finishing off in the oven as the crust was pale also if I only wanted to makke a small loaf it always came out a funny shape.0

Costco had the 253 for £67.??. Not sure whether you have access to Costco but if so might be worth checking.0
