6 yr old ccj is wrong - should I get it changed or leave it to drop off?

I have a nearly 6 year old ccj for £500 on my report.
This was actually settled in full at the time but has not been updated to reflect that.
My question is - if I contact the creditor and ask them to do what's necessary to reflect the settled status of the ccj and this gets ammended by the CRAs does it end up showing on my report for ANOTHER 6 years?
If so would I be better to just leave it and wait for it to disappear next March?
Thanks all.

Get them to take it off if it was settled in full and within the time limit. This cannot extend the time for which it appears on the record.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Going to involve jumping through hoops to get this marked as settled though - should I even bother, since it's never going to be pursued as it's settled (although the creditor never informed the CRAs that it was at the time). Might as well wait for 6 months and it'ss be gone forever anyway right?
I guess my main concern was that if I took action and the CRAs updated the entry to show it settled it might restart the clock on it.0
