Tesco clubcard rewards - Itunes

I was lucky enough to exchange some of my clubcard vouchers for one of their rewards schemes with itunes for the £25 itunes vouchers.
All went well until i recieved my vouchers and have tried continously to exchange them with my local store. i was continually told that they were on order.
A couple of weeks prior to the expiry date i contacted clubcard to inform them the store had not had them in stock. I received a phone call to tell me it was a problem with their supplier and to keep trying and let them know if I manage to get them.
The expiry date has now passed and ive been in contact with clubcard to be told as a gesture of good will they will refund the vouchers back, as normally they do not refund expired vouchers.
I don't want the points back.... i would like them to honour the purchase I've made and allow me to exchange the vouchers once they are back in stock. I don't feel that it is wrong for me to ask to get the vouchers and the error was not on my behalf!
is anyone aware of any other stores or people having problems?
