554th Thread - New year - What does it mean?

Guys,

Would like to start 2007 by thanking you all for your support with my situation, regarding debt / stress / depression / anxiety / HMRC / jobs / cars etc etc.

I really love each and every one of you, and without your support, I have no idea where I would have been.

Its been really helpful updating my thread (its good therapy, I find myself spending less and less because of what people may think of me!) and seeing what people have to say about my situation and their take on it.

I wish each and every one of you a superb, happy 2007, for people such as me who suffer with depression / stress, do get help, you owe it to yourself, I know how low I can get and I dont want it to happen again! But I let things get on top of me, the debts, the depression, stress etc before I got help.

Please, for any problem, seek advice, even if its on here, pick a few brains, dont be afraid to go to the doctors / CAB / anyone if you have a problem related to you that you are worried about.

Believe me, I knew when I was waking up in the morning and feeling terrible, or crying whilst driving, I knew that something wasn't right, maybe I left it too long before admitting that it had all got too much for me! The new job, money etc etc etc.

Just, please, make sure that in 2007 you have no regrets. Things do get better, I'm unemployed at the minute, but I've always had plans, I have plans and I am going to push on from here, but take a decision and stick to it. I felt I needed time and now I feel ready to get back into retail, follow your dreams, dont ever be afraid to do what you think is right. I went home 4 days early from Magaluf because I was bored, that takes guts, my friends are all still there for me.

As someone famously said to me: "Be kind to yourself", if you suffer with stress / depression please dont be afraid, post about it, write it all down, there are like minded people everywhere, I was surprised how many people suffered with it. I was a cocksure 20 year old who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted, I'm now a calmer nicer 21 year old, who (after the end of relationship on Xmas eve :( ) is going to be kind to himself and to others.

God bless each and every one of you, the support here is superb, I've seen more lurkers posting here, usually with a bit of dread because of what people will think / judge. Please, just write down what you owe and do the SOA, people here will help, we wont judge, we are all on DFW for a reason.

I'm embarassed sometimes, because I have a lot, and people may think I'm pathetic (stress for me is a mother not having enough money to feed her kids or clothe them or power / heat the house, not JS management / Girlfriend going away) but it affects us all in different ways. We are all in debt for one reason or another. But its the fact that we want to post on here to sort it out that means something.

Simple way of deciding whether to post your situation, either do it and get help, or your alternative is to do nothing, carry on (for how long?) or even worse, borrow more, making a bad situation, worse.

Please post, please have no regrets, and most importantly, live.

Happy new year!!!

(BTW, Im not drunk at all, took the car out!)
