Daft question?

Hey everyone,

hope you are all well.

I went to the supermarket in my lunch hour today, and they now only have those self service tills. So I purchased what I needed, and paid using my debit card. Now, they have staff members to help if anyone has a problem, but they guy was practically breathing down my neck when I tried to put my pin in. I did turn around and say 'Do you mind?' but he didn't really move. As soon as I left the store I went to the first bank I could and changed my pin. Thisparticular supermarket slef service till thingy was suspected of cloning cards a while ago, but it appears to have all blown over, that and the machine looked normal enough.

I know i am being VERY paranoid, but since I dont have much, and this month's DD's have not come out of the bank - my question is - can they do anything if I have changed my pin?
I don't want to ring the bank and cancel the card as I don't know how long a new on will take, and we use it for shopping.:embarasse xx

As I understand it, cloned cards dont actually need a pin to work or perhaps the PIN is encoded in the strip which is what is cloned. I realise you reluctance to change cards, but for peace of mind...I would. It might be a good exercise in budgeting for the week if you only have to deal with cash for a few days....every cloud and all that.

No, changing your pin doesn't affect anything on your account, like SO's or DD's

If you changed your PIN I wouldn't worry.

Sorry, read your post wrong. My reply makes no sense to your question.
