Help - Lowell Group and now JBDR threat

Hi, I posted a long time ago about Lowell group chasing me for a debt I had no knowledge of and sent them the prove it letter. After this I have heard nothing for almost 10 months. Then in the last week I've had 3 voicemail messages left on my home phone...computer generated messages....and today the following email.....

URGENT

Client: Lowell Financial Ltd (New Rate)
Debt Outstanding: £606.76
JBDR Ref:*******

Our clients have instructed us to collect the above outstanding debt as you have failed to make arrangements with them to pay it.

We therefore require the immediate settlement of this debt in full.

I honestly don't know what this is for - I don't know who these people are and I don't know what to do next. Where did they get my home number? Where did they get my personal email address? Please please advise what I should do.....I was harassed in the passed by Lowell and now it appears these people want to do the same.

Send them the prove it letter again, preferqably with a copy of your previous communication and a note to add that if you hear anything more from them you will report them to the OFT, unless they prove the debt.

Lowell are reknowned for buying statute barred debt by the dway, so pay nothing even if they send you paperwork. Come back here.

Thanks RAS, I have copies of the previous communication so I will do this. Do I just send copies and the prove it letter as a response to the email, or would you suggest sending the prove it letter and attachments via royal mail?

Appreciate your help...and great to see you are still on here helping people.

    Use royal mail.

The best option is to send two copies from different post offices, with a certificate of posting in each case. Judges always assume that one of the letters got there.
