Edinburgh Hogmanay event cancelled too

Awwwww! I was looking forward to watching the fireworks from the comfort of my bedroom window. Better safe than sorry - the weather is horrendous.

Enjoy whatever you do.

    Will stay tucked up inside!

I can't believe the council took this long to cancel it. Pubs in city centre will be happy!

We were in the Slug and Lettuce earlier in the evening and gave up trying to get served as the two (!) bar staff just couldn't cope. We went back to our hotel room, raided the mini bar and watched the fireworks from our window at the bells. Braw!

  • I was really disappointed it was cancelled - we only found out once we got into town! Still we ended up having a massive countdown at my place and had our own fireworks - with lots and lots of party poppers!

I heard that they actually set off the fireworks as well!

Still, I'm looking forward to getting the money back for the street passes!
