Currently in receipt of income based JSA and wish to do some voluntary work to improve my CV I understand I a have to inform the jobcentre plus of this but will my benefit be affected?
My advisor on the work programme has told me they will pay my expenses (bus fares, CRB check)
thanks

Should be fine as long as you inform the JobCentre. When I was signing on, I did one morning a week down a local learning place, and they where fine about it.
Wouldn't know about expenses. Because were I volunteered, it was within walking distance.0 -
Not a problem with expenses. They basically dont expect you toe be out of pocket. You sign a form at the job centre and then you have to inform them what you are recieving in expenses and what purpose e.g. I got a fuel voucher for £10 a week from my voluntary placement to pay for fuel and parking.0
