I've been quite a few times but we've always just paid full price, it's really worth it in my opinion. I did have a years free pass at one point because I adopted an animal :)

Tesco clubcard vouchers can be used for entry tickets to Dublin Zoo, £5 of vouchers for adult and £4 for concession.
Unfortunately you wouldn't get them in time for Sunday.
  • How close is Dublin Zoo in relation to train stations. I was thinking of taking the kids down on the Translink £10 return to Dublin & with Tesco vouchers it would be good day out. But need to know how to get to zoo from the train. Thanks

It's a good way out of town. See here for public transport options.

You'l get into Connelly Street? If you can walk to O Connell Street you can get the bus for Phoenix Park there, it's the number 10 and it stops near the Post Office :)

It takes you to just outside Phoenix Park and the zoo is about a 15 minute walk into the park. I think it's about 2euro on the bus, if that.

This is how we've done it in the past and it's always been fine. It seems long but it really isn't don't let it put you off.

Yes great layout, glass to view animals eg tiger literally one inch away - excellent viewing of this magnificent animal. The day we were there we decided not to purchase from the zoo shop - which was usual rip off and happily there were some stalls set up outside settling cheap cuddly toys - enough to keep the kids happy.
