I have a my name on a mortgage together with my ex-wife (value about $72000). I take no financial responsibility for it, my ex is unable to afford to get my name off the deeds so it just carries on. I have a 14 year old daughter who lives there. Idea is when she is out of education the house is sold (hopefully) and I get my share.
I am now remarried and we want to get out of rented accomodation. We earn just over £46000 between us, I have a loan of £8000 which I am paying off as quickly as I can but can't make top up payments, only my standard monthly or balance in full. We have savings of nearly £7,000, what are the chances of us getting a £90,000 mortgage when we get to savings of £10,000.
Thanks

You have a few options.
1. Go solo
2. Go for another joint with your current wife
3. Get a mortgage on your current wife's name only [might be the best or only option]
