Bristow & Sutor Nightmare

Hi all,
Fairly new here so I'm not sure if this is in the right place to start. Basically Bristow and Sutor and chasing me for 2 different councils tax debt. One amounting to £319 and the other to around £600.
CAB have put a stop on the one for £600 but the one for £319 they cannot due to not having agreement with the said council.
A little while back me and my partner (a student) midwife decided that we no longer could afford to live together as it was just my wage supporting us. We consequently both moved back to her mothers as my mothers (for me) wasn't an option. This did not work for me and I ended up moving back to my Dads house about 3 weeks ago now.
He knows the situation and knows I want to be debt free and is supportive of that. He runs his own business and never misses a payment on anything so its good for me to be here. The only thing he asked was not to put my address on my creditor letters to avoid him recieving bad credit under the household.
Bristow and Sutor visited the house last week after I agreed to meet them on the 18th of July to assess my belongings for the £319 debt. I came to an agreement with the levy bailiff of £42 payment upfront and 3 monthly payments of £130 to clear the debt fast (actual amount of £432 with all the fees they added on). He told me to pay the £42 before the 24th and setup a standing order to clear the rest. Both of which I did on the day after he left and both of which I have proof of.
Today I get back from work and a different Bristow and Sutor bailiff has been to the property and dropped an unenveloped letter through the door stating they are coming to remove property unless I call them. By the time I got home they were closed to calls and my dad had discovered the letter.
Normally this wouldnt bother me as I could rectify the next day but now my Dad has said I must move out because this will affect his credit rating and in turn the businesses because I am in the same household.
Moving to my dads was my last option, with this letter Bristow and Sutor have made me homeless. I have no money to move out with and nowhere to live permanently as all my spare cash was being used to pay off my debt as quickly as possible.
What I'm asking is will this affect his credit rating and in turn the businesses because I am here. I doubt he will believe me even if I say no its just worth a try. I literally have nothing left to lose.
Sorry for the essay and thanks in advance.
Regards,
Will.

It has no effect whatsoever on your credit rating or your dads credit rating. It also has no effect on the property.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
Hi Will,
Each persons credit rating is assessed individually unless there is a financial link (joint loan, mortgage etc), so your dads credit rating will not be affected. The Bailiffs can try to tell you anything they like, but legally they can only take your belongings and cannot take anything belonging to your dad.If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Thanks to both of you. You've put my mind at ease. Whether it will affect my situation is yet to be seen.0
