I need a webcam to use with my home pc (win Xp) for use with messenger.
It has to be USB 2.0 (prefered) and with audio mic and decent quality graphics.
I have looked around on the internet and basically confused on which is a good model and how much to pay for. I am prepared to spend up to £25.
thanks in advance

I bought two of these and they are good value, in fact I am going to buy a third for the other set of grandparents.

They are quite good, just got another for a family member moving to Australia.
I like the Logitech one mentioned earlier, if I had known about those, I would have opted for Logitech as we had older Logitech stuff, which I feel are good products usually.2012 Target...

We have tried a few web cams and the only one we have been happy with is the Logitech 4000 (now called the 5000) they are more than your budget but much much better than even Logitechs cheaper models, they handle lower or artificial light especially well. They have a built in quality microphone and come with a laptop style adjustable bracket.
The cheaper ones in our experience are a disappointment with poorer sound and only tend to give acceptable video in bright natural light.Signature No Longer acceptable -
