Options
Hi,

I am looking to go out for dinner next tues somewhere in the belfast area that accomodates for kids as well as adults. The kids are 11, 9 and 3 :)

I'd prefer not to go to a chain if possible!

thanks in advance :)

Darcy's beside Laverys in Shaftesbury square, great value friendly staff. Got an excellent write up in the Telegraph last week.

Darcy's is very good. Not sure if they do a childrens menu though? Springsteens on the Lisburn Road is very good, generous portions.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.

China China on University street. My kids love it. No sitting about waiting for the food to arrive, they just get it themselves.

Same with the China Buffet in Victoria Square! Great for kids.
Also there's a steak place in V Square that has a separate games room for the kids that you can watch them on a video screen. Food isn't bad either.

It is a chain but pizza express is very good for kids - they have drawing stuff to keep them amused and a good-ish kiddie menu. Staff are usually v nice to kids too..and the pizzas are freshly made so not as much 'junk' food as other places

Spur is very hit and miss for me, been a few times and had awful experiences and great experiences.... More bad than good sadly.
