Hi everyone
Ok so I am 20 and got made redundant in January and had no choice but to stop paying my £45 a month mobile phone contract. I had had a steady job for a long time and i was very surprised.
Anyway my circumstances have now changed and I have paid £135 of the £835 balance and now have to pay £30 a month back i think for 2 years.
Anyway on My credit report it says i have defaulted and my credit rating is now red.
So if my nanna paid off the money for me to the debt company what would happen to my credit rating if anything??
Really hope someone can help as I don't want my credit rating to be so bad at my age.
Thanks in Advance

If the debt was paid off the default would still show on your file but would be marked as satisfied, which is a little better than unsatisfied but still is likely to cause problems if you want to apply for new credit products . The default will show on your credit file for 6years from the date of default.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
