Chances of Nationwide releasing mortgage funds with 3 days notice?

Exchanging tomorrow. All 3 parties in the chain want to complete Friday. Our solicitor is putting in a request this afternoon for an early release of the funds, so they are with them on Thursday.
Solicitor says it is entirely up to nationwide - does anyone know how likely are they to do this? I'm not sure how out of the ordinary this request is, solicitor seems to be indicating that this is not usual procedure, and doesn't seem very happy about the timescales!

Should be ok. We completed on our current place (admittedly not Nationwide) only asking for the draw-down late on Tuesday. I think they would normally make the request Monday though for a Friday completion.
I'm sure they send by TT so should be able to do it as long as Nationwide expedite the request and process it quickly.0 -
It's usually a week iirc from when we did this recently with Nationwide. Our solicitor ballsed up and "forgot" to put in the request and didn't tell us until the Wednesday of the week we were expecting to complete. We told them to sort it. They managed to put the request in on Wednesday PM and the money was transferred and in the solicitors account by Friday morning.
It's certainly possible you just need to keep on top of everyone to make sure it happens.Thinking critically since 1996....1
