I have made all our flowers from felt after being quoted £200+ for a bouquet and buttonholes! It has cost about £25 for all of the flowers, favours are also felt and they were only about £15-£20

Sammy85, I'm actually having difficulty tearing my eyes away from that train!!! What a stunning dress.
As for my bargains, I also bought some social stirrers for £4 instead of £32, and with free P&P. I've bought two necklaces which have cost me a grand total of £13, and am hoping for a stonking bargain on dress fabric for mine and MoH's dresses, having just heard about a fabric market.
That's it for now, as there's still loads to do with a little over a year to go!
Well done on your bargains Mandymoo! :T

hi, i love this thread:D...we are having a very low key wedding, i wanted it to be more like a celebratory posh meal iykwim!!...so, my bargains so far are... my dress £6, my shoes £6, my bag £5, my pashmina £6 and my jewellery £7..£30 for my entire outfit and i LOVE it. we got ohs 3 piece suit from matalan for £75, went back a week later and its reduced to £42, so returned then rebought it along with a shirt and tie set that had been reduced to £7 and which matches the colour scheme perfectly. we bought his adult sons 3 piece suit again from matalan, only his was in the clearance zone of our local store, so it was £2.50 an item.. an unbelievable £7.50!!(and almost identical in colour)...and also got him the same shirt and tie as oh. we will be having a m&s cake for £20,the thistle and rose cake topper was £17, matching bouquet was also £17 and managed to get invites, thank you cards, cake boxes, favour boxes and menu cards from local m&s clearance outlet, all matching and all reduced to 50p for packs of 10s, thistle button holes came from ebay for £1.50 each (need to change ribbon but otherwise perfect for our theme).all our savings mean that we were able to book a nice venue for the ceremony and meal (where we will also be staying for 3 nights as a mini honeymoon) but incredibly we also got a great deal on this...£21.50 per head for 3 course meal and tea/coffee..wine £15.00 a bottle .. basically we are only paying for food and drink consumed as they are not charging us to use the function room as we are not having the bar in the function room opened (there is a hotel bar just outside function suite that guests can use) and they are not charging us for linen/glass hire either and are going to dress the tables very simply for us using mirrored plates and candles which i love and would probably have bought anyway!!..the only expense for the table will be fresh white bud roses which we will buy on the day from mr tescos or mr asdas (not getting married till 4.30 so plently of time to get them). am really looking forward to getting married and am so happy/pleased/relieved that everything so far has fallen into place so easily:j0
