I paid Groupon £30 for a canvas from Hello Canvas. I ordered it but never received it. I chased it up with Hello Canvas no reply all they did was return a copy of my email to me. I got in contact with Groupon and at first said there was a back log and Hello Canvas will get back to me they never did. Ive asked Groupon for my money back and guess what they dont reply to my emails.
Today 16/06/2011 I actually got my money back from Groupon.
If you get a deal that isnt honored my advice keep emailing as it took me about 6 weeks after the voucher had expired to actually get a refund.0 -
Hi
Has anyone else purchased a deal from Groupon for Ceramic Hair Straighteners from O Spa London priced at £15.00 plus a £7.50 delivery charge?
I am still waiting for these to be dispatched from O Spa London (29 working days - not inc weekends after voucher activation)
I have emailed O Spa on several occasions and tried to telephone them also. None of my emails have had a response and if you telephone an automated message asks you to telephone one of its several London locations (all have been tried) and nobody picks up. I have been in touch with Groupon to request a refund but they told me that I cannot request a refund as the voucher has been activated.

thulme - without being too flip, you, me and about 5,000 others are all in the same boat!!!
Apparently a new batch was due in yesterday, so O Spa are expecting some in, and I'm hanging out for these - but I'd say they may not be too swift in getting them out, as they will have a huge order to fill!
Other people are exeperiencing varying degrees of sucess by complaining to Groupon that they are having no luck with O Spa - some people have had their £15 back. If you paid by credit card (Martin's Favourite) then go back to the credit card compnay, or PayPal may be able to assist.
Good Luck - all this stress is making my hair go frizzy!!!Always on the hunt for a bargain.
Always grateful for any hints, tips or guidance as to where the best deals are:smileyhea0 -

HELP:(
My missus "purchased" a back massager from O Spa London on the 25th June and is still waiting for the delivery. Money was taken out of her account on the 28th for postage; no response other than the automated one.
Currently invoking Distance Selling Regulations against the company.
Groupon are trying to wipe their hands of it because she purchased an eye mask as well; we'll be invoking the same regulations against Groupon next month when O Spa London's deadline passes.0 -
Just to add on to my earlier post not that groupon isn't good, they are discounted but some of the items' discounts are based on the RRP, for instance a robot vaccum cleaner rrp might be £400 but groupon might offer it for 56% off £224. If you think about it, most department stores sell would sell the same for a price much lower than the rrp, for instance the vaccum cleaner for £360 and during the sale for £180 or even lower. But then the question I suppose would be if you'd want to wait for the sale, that's why I said that groupon targets impulse buyers. I suspect the eatery offers and beauty treatments are probably not too bad though. Holidays, imo, are the worst.0

Look look :j in our York area we have an offer from groupon for ambassador hotel in wales £70 for a night, no cancellation and they claim to make a saving of 56% and save you £88 if you book by 30th november (mind you, november is offseason and rates would be low anyway) and go to booking.com and look up for the hotel and try to make a booking and now here's the surprise, you're running at a loss because it costs you only £66 and most certainly yes, you get breakfast too and yes it is free cancellation. If you book at the hotel site for two nights before or after Sunday, they offer you a free sunday night. Finally, the room rates are based on sea view or town view or no view at all, I think I know where groupon bookers will be put up. Being the kind soul
that I am, am weeping for all those 10 people who bought it.

this was the response that I recd today from from Groupon
'Click on the link that says "Log In" at the top right side of the page and then enter this e-mail address and the password you gave us when you made your purchase. If you forgot your password, you'll be able to re-set it there.
Once you are signed in, click "My Account" also at the top right hand side of the deal page, then select "Your Orders" from drop down box. You will then see all of your Groupons listed and can print them off.
As you're outside of the 7 day cancellation period, I can only offer you credit matching what you paid for this Groupon. Would you like me to go ahead with this?
For future reference, please add us to your address book so our emails do not get sent to your spam folder.'
I have responded to ask for my money back or the original purchase. I will update

I bought a treatments voucher from Groupon Chester at a local wellbeing centre that was advertised as approx 2.5 hours worth £165 for £39. The centre are refusing to honour the details, saying it is only 90 minutes, and they are also refusing to tell me how they therefore came to the 'worth £165' cost. Have emailed groupon but they say phones off this week, and automated response to my complaint saying minimum of a week to reply. Meanwhile they post ads on their facebook left right and centre all day.
Am very annoyed and have asked for a refund - NOT happy with groupon or the centre. For everything else, there's MSE :T0
