The tarts are lovely, just that they only last for around 8 hours, so obviously the candles are better value. Yankee Doodle have some special offers on and you might get them cheap on Ebay. Good thing to buy in America too if you go there.

Not sure as I havent used that site, do you have a Wyevale Garden centre near you? Someone here bought some wax tarts from there for 21p each, had a look in the garden centre near me but no such luck. I love the wax tarts, I just use my oil burner to sit them in. My DH goes to America on business 4 or 5 times a year, in the Yankee candle shops there they quite often have buy one candle get one half price, with the exchange rate this works out really cheap. Needless to say I got one when he came back from his last trip and one for Christmas :)

I have posted this somewhere else, but if you have a boundary mill near you, they are much cheaper, for example a large jar which should be £16.49 is £11.54 and they also have a sale on at the moment with more reductions on those prices. I bought a couple of classic jars the other day, and the large one should have been £15.99 and was £7.99:money:

  • Hi, I too love Yankee candles but they are so expensive. If you have a Dunelm Mill nearby try their Colonial candles I have found these to be quite fragrant and a third of the price!

I use the tartlets,I find I only need to
burn them for an hour or two and the
smell lasts for ages. Not very happy at
the moment because DH has broken the
bowl on my burner, tried to stuff it in the
    bin,like I would not notice ?

Have you tried TK MAxx ? they often have
Yankee candles in and I have also seen these
in their clearance on quite a few occassions.

ebay is cheap for Yankee candles, also its worth a look
on QVC as they sell them and have some good
    offers from time to time.

I saw Yankee Candles for sale in the UK last Thursday, and nearly fell over re the price. I'm used to purchasing candles from the States.

Take a plane to Boston, MA and drive to their flagship store, South Deerfield in Massachusetts, and there's plenty of clearance candles to be had. I've picked up the largest candles for $7 in the past. The store is absolutely amazing, it even snows inside their Christmas shop. (There's Yankee Candle stores a-plenty in Massachusetts).

I'm lucky, my sister lives about 45 minutes from the flagship store, so I get to visit about once a year. Was there in October, and my sister flew over for Christmas with Yankee Candle products as presents.
