Buying Online: how do you check you have the best deal?

Options
Hi

This is how I do it. When I want to buy something I will find it via a search in google and have a read around on the item. I will then find the model number and dig a little deeper and read any reviews I can find, again via a search on google (usually get ciao and reviewcentre). Then once satisfied I will then take the brand and model and froogle it http://froogle.google.co.uk/ then search on price low to high and find the cheapest supplier.

Anyone adopt a different approach at research and finding the best price??

kelkoo, dealtime and pricerunner for me, then go to a local specialist and see if they will do a deal :)
  • I use the above too but one tip I will give you is not to use the hyperlink from the above sites but to go there direct to see what the prices are. Kelkoo etc are funded by commission so you may find a 1-2% difference in price and then you have sites like quidco etc to get further reductions/cashbacks.
