The online price is shown as £418, the instore price shown as £377. This iinstore price is the cheapest I can find for this camera and lens set. Bearing in mind, that their online prices are normally lower than their in store prices, is this a mis-price. If it is a mis-price, is there any chance they would hounour that price in store?

Not sure, but, as a D50 user, I'd be worried at the fact that they're trying to sell you a Compact Flash Card (at a STUPID price) when it takes SD cards - PC world summed up really IMO.

Yeah the image does show a compact flash card but it does say SD on description ( not that I would buy it at that price).
Anyway, d50 not in store at any of my local shops.0 -
excuse my ignorance, but shouldn't the d50 be considerably less than the newer d40, which is under £400 most places?0

In comparison with the D40, the D50 is bigger, will work with more lenses and has a better meter; the D40 has a bigger screen and colour exposure histograms. The D40 is a newer, lightweight budget model but there is no more than personal preference in features to choose between them.
Personally if I had £400 quid to spend, and I didn't own any lenses, I'd be hunting round for a good deal on a canon 400d.
To answer the original question I believe currys are also selling it for £377 so I don't think it's a mistake - why not give your local shop a ring?0 -
