HSBC mortage - FTB 85% LTV

I had my 90% mortgage with HSBC in June, all in all it took them no time to approve the application, the mortgage manager sent the paperwork off on a Thursday, by the following Monday they asked a few questions and the next day it was approved by the underwriters. The survey was then done the following Monday. So all in all about 2 weeks from application to survey on the house being done. HSBC could'nt have been more helpful too.0

Mortgage has just been approved (5 working days), no questions asked. Despite all the negative news I had been reading about HSBC, so far everything has gone very smoothly and relatively quickly. Survey being arranged in the next week or so. Now on to the next thing to worry about!
