Unenforceable barclaycard????

Hi,
Digging up old memories here so I may have things the wrong way round.
I opened up an MBNA credit card donkeys years ago and everything went well. At some point it was converted into a Goldfish card and then later again changed into a Barclaycard, but cant remember what year.
I understand credit cards taken out BEFORE 2007 are more likely to be unenforceable than those taken out after.
Can anyone remember when Barclaycard took over Goldfish and/or MBNA?
thanks

Are you trying to find out when you took out the account? should say under date opened on your credit file.
I think barclays bought goldfish in 08. Wasn't aware that goldfish had ever bought any of MBNAs cards/debts.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Many early mbna agreements are u/e.
As are many msdw, citicard and capital 1.
Not a route to go down though, unless you want your credit file trashed.
It can serve a purpose if you are having financial issues and the lenders are being uncooperative with accepting reduced payments, as a duff agreement can give you more leverage.Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0
