One DFW/MSE thing each day.

Good Morning everyone!
I have decided that if I do just one positive DFW/MSE thing each day, then by the end of the year, (2007!) I will have made significant progress in my quest to be debt free.
So, why not post on here the one thing that you will do/have done today to aid your journey? It could be as significant as having your lightbulb moment, or it could be that you chucked an extra £10 at the credit card debt, switching utility provider etc etc.
Sometimes we lose sight of how much of a difference we are making to our lives, and just how far we have come. Plus, other people's small steps could inspire us.
So, for starters. Yesterday I switched my phone and broadband providers (using quidco) and got my credit file ordered.
Today I am cooking up a load of leftovers for the freezer and going to see if I can get any reduced bargains at the supermarket at the end of the day.
Who's next?

Great thread hypno!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I second what AndyR said about daily clicks on cashback sites likeQuidco, freefivers etc. It is something you can do every day. I find them especially useful as a way to combat mid month doldrums - the excitement of seeing your debt go down for that month has faded, and I often feel a bit flat. Spending 10 mins doing clicks means that each day I have done something to pay off my debts faster.

Im about to do my pigsback clicks
and later Im going to pack up 2 books Ive sold over the Xmas period and get them lined up for taking to the PO on tuesday. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Wow one DFW thing a day - that's going some! I was thinking of doing one a month but you've inspired me so I'll try to keep up and do one big thing a month and one little thing every day if I can.
January big thing - look into getting my pension contributions back from job I'm about to leave.
Today - deal with the turkey remains in the fridge (shudder). Will make lots of stock for soups etc in the weeks to come.
Today or tomorrow - post SOA and garner lots of good advice.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

One thing each day could be as small as resisting the temptation to buy something in the supermarket, putting it back on the shelf when you realised you don't need it afterall.
Or eeking out the evening meal to put an extra portion in the freezer.
Or finding a £ in the trolley at the supermarket that someone couldn't be bothered to take back to the trolley park.
Or...

In my spending diary I make a note of MSE/DFW savings or events and I am finding it useful to go back over them from time to time so this thread is a great idea.
Today I went to Tesco's as we were running short on some basics. I took back a skirt I bought before Christmas to increase the total spend so that I could use a money off coupon - it meant the top I bought to wear at Christmas only cost £6 instead of £12.:D
Had a budget of £20 and bought all the groceries/toiletries we needed (lots of Value labels in the trolley) plus wrapping paper for next Christmas (have done this for years - all of this year's presents were wrapped in sales paper), 3 presents reduced to half price and then 3 for 2 and finally a Christmas pudding to store in the pantry (use by April 2008).
And as the total was just over £20 I used a Sainsbury's voucher bringing the cost to just over £18
