mobile contract

I applied to switch my soon to expire O2 contract to Vodafone yesterday and have been told today that I can get into trouble as I recently agreed to a DMP. Is this correct?
I havent even heard if I the contract has been accepted , I was told by an adviser that a DMP would not affect the decision so stupidly applied. surely i will be ok as have always paid my £25 per month exist contract and there is no change to the payment?

If the cost does not increase then it shouldn't cause a problem to your DMP.

Whether you will be accepted by vodaphone will presumably depend on what is currently on your credit file (some people enter a DMP with a perfect record of having paid everyone back on time up to that point, other people have numerous defaults already).
