Monday 25th July 2011 - What Small Things…..

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free!

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.!

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning all,

Thought I’d start us all off today then I can start work

Today I have/will
• Will have a NSD – bought lunch and snacks with me so no need to buy anything
• Do any surveys in my mailbox
• Look for MS jobs
• Meals from stores
• Checked my online banking – no change
• At lunchtime, see how my auctions are doing
• Check Quidco
• Use my inhaler and take medicine to help with breathing/reduce coughing!
• Charging phone at work
• Breakfast at work (using their milk)
• Think positive today
• Read newspaper online
• Read the freebie paper on the train
• Need to check out the freebies and the competition boards
• Enter comps online
• Drink plenty of water
• Take meds and vits to control hormones
• Update food diary (online and paper copy)

Will see what happens....

Take care everyone

So, I've got an extra day off, took friday and monday off as we had guests over the weekend and have loads of holiday. So I'm having a me day today, I've got to see the hygeinist in a couple of hours, so a trip into town. I've already caught up with some TV and we're onto the 3rd load of washing.

    So today I have/will:

    dinner/lunch from stores

    dentist is budgetted for
    not spend ANYTHING else
if i can find a stamp post my friends birthday card
chased about getting our door fixed
work out budget for next month (payday on wednesday)

i can't think of much else, I'll probably allow myself some more TV when I've listed stuff on ebay after the dentists.
Have a great day everyone xxx
