Cranberry abundance - please help!

Popped into Sainsburys and they had reduced punnets of fresh cranberries down from £1.99 to *10p* per punnet, so I've got 6 :D

Can anyone help with how to preserve them/freeze and use them please......I've only ever had cranberry juice from cartons....

Nigellas *redder than red* cranberry preserve type thingy is seriously yum and desperately easy to make - I imagine you could store it in the fridge a bit like jam?

Meant to be served with turkey obviously, but I'd use it like jam to be honest.

  • i have also bought 2 packets of cranberries and frozen them all you do is chuck them in the freezer as they are then rinse under cold water when you want to use them. i am going to use mine with some apples in a crumble and do a winter fruit pie with plums, blackberries, apples, cranberries and plenty of cinnamon.
i tried nigellas cranberry sauce it was so easy and delicious.
    hope this helps
