Interesting question, I didn't know you had different types of ash brown, how would you know before actually dying your hair? I use Nice & Easy light ash brown to play down the natural red tones in my mid brown hair and to cover grey, it seems to work on both counts but as it comes to the time to do it again I can see its slightly redder then I like , its not a problem but would be nice not to have that, sorry I cant help anymore, look forward to seeing any useful answers:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

When I used to dye my hair an ash colour I always used L'oreal Excellence because I have red tones in my hair which other makes always bring out regardless of what it says on the box.
I don't know how brown you are so here are some of the ash colours that are still in the Excellence range

This is L'oreal Recital Performance which might suit:

You can tell hair dye was invented by a man. Why do women bother dying their hair when no one really gives a toss and most dont even notice.
More profits for the beauty industry I suppose and plenty of gullible females to sell toWho I am is not important. What I do is.0 -

Oh dear AB, you have a lot to learn. I dye my hair because it makes ME feel good, I dont really care if anyone does give a toss or doesnt notice.
Pretty soon, Im going to grow mine out just to see what amount of grey I have, just out of curiosity and to see if I feel good with it grey, if I dont, then I'll dye it again.
I havent seen my natural hair for years, so I think Im going to get a shock:eek:make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
