Can I claim a pension that has been frozen for the last 12 yrs because employment ceased. I am only 41 & feel I would benefit more now than retirement age

Most certainly not. The only way to claim it if you are 55 or over, or at death's door. It is there to provide for your retirement after all.

Nope, sorry you can't have it now and as has previously been posted it is there for your retirement.
Always looking for a good deal on my savings, generally risk averse, but always interested in new ideas and new ways of doing things.

You cannot access your penson till you are 55, then only 25% as a lump sum, and the rest is to sort a pension for your retiremnt.

You will benefit from it a lot more then because it will be worth a lot more. State pension isnt a great deal to live on, will you be quite happy to live in poverty at 68 or so.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

    1. There is no such thing as a 'frozen' pension.

    2. So if you were exiled to an isolated island for 10 years, with enough canned food and water to last exactly 10 years provided you ate the 'rock bottom' minimum just to keep you alive, then you seem to be saying that eating double rations for the first 5 years would "benefit" you "more". Quite true. But not for the second 5 years I feel.
