That is how much my uncle pays each year in income tax and he bet me twenty pound that I won't be able to work out his salary,
so there is money to be made in this so it's important you report accurately LOL:j

£96.475 according to http://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/salary.php0

About £100K based on extrapolation (Upwards) from my own salary (effectively £10K extra tax implies £25K extra salary) - although it depends enormously on what allowances other than standard bands he uses to offset (eg pension, charity, ...)
If you answer without taking any deductions off it should be easy with the band figures given on HMRC website. (Sorry not going to depress myself by going there for you)I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

I think that is just income tax alone..“Washing one's hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless means to side with the powerful, not to be neutral. ”

what the other posters mean is that if you contribute to a pension you don't pat income tax on it
so a man earning say £140K with 40K pension contribution would pay as much tax as a man earning £100K contributing nothingI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
