Well the day went fairly well without a hitch - a shame more people didn't turn up!
The venue got decorated with the help from the people who ran the pub, I smiled sweetly and they offered
I left my house at 8.30am on day of wedding, got balloons ect got to venue, did some decorating, went to collect the wedding cake and few other bits and pieces finally returned to my house to get ready for wedding at 11.45. My lovley OH had lunch ready, he had fed baby and put him to be for a nap. I showered got changed did make up and was back out at 1pm with fully dressed and yummy looking LO.
Picked up first child, dropped off at registry office
picked up 2 other children & maid of honour the lad cried all the way there bless him! my oh was already at her house to take her to the office)
bride arrived by 2 all over by 2.20 wow who knew registry office was soooo quick.
then over to the gardens for photos - guess who was telling people to get together and pose?! yep that would be me some 200 photos later everyone started to leave for the pub. I took 2 children and mother of the bride came back and got my child and her youngest.
back at the pub by 3.30pm I left at around 5.30 with a very sleepy little boy. I hated the day, never relaxed once, was a shame not many turned up the whole affair was over with and the bride and groom back home by 7pm!
They both had a lovely day and thats the main thing.
I'm currently compiling a wedding album for them and then thats me done!
NEVER AGAIN!
I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
i'm glad it all went well for the couple in the end. what a shame it put so much stress on you, and must have put strain on your friendship also. i really hope she realises what an amazing friend you have been for her.
(after reading all about different peoples options and budgets on these pages, i cant help but think that with no evening disco ect it must have been quite a 'cost effective' wedding!)Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23.
