Hi all
Can anybody confirm whether this seller is legitimate?
LD UK Electronics
http://ldukelectronics.com
Not much on the web. I could only find a reference from the Exspansys website (Exspansys should be a legit seller):
Waterproof tablet case
Many thanks

My first warning would be why are they trying to hide who the domain name was registered by.

I've noticed that. But it *could* still be ok.
That would be your first and only warning however, I couldn't find any other evidence to suggest it's a scam.
See my comment on Expansys recommending one of their products in the blog. And Expansys are def legit.

I don't know what Expansys are playing at by linking to them because you'd need to be pretty daft to buy anything from that website.
The site was only registered on the 8th of June and, as JAG points out, they've hidden their address behind a privacy service.

I've had a good look around their website and I can't find an address anywhere. The English grammar is very poor in places. They accept bank transfers. They don't adhere to the Distance Selling Regulations.
All in all I've come to the conclusion that they are just another bunch of Far East scammers. But it's your money...0 -
LDUK.Org which redirects to LDUKElectronics (and shares IP) is registered thus:Registrant Name:craig harrisonI'm in total agreement with Coopdivi A site with no or very little web presence that doesn't provide a real world, physical and checkable address and in fact, goes out of its way to hide its registration with a Gibraltarian anonimizing company would not get my business.

Sure, that is tough on the start up companies, but I can't afford to get ripped off in the small hope of a bargain. If you can, go ahead.
Any start up should be aware of this by now and needs to include as a minimum physical address and landline contact points in plain view on their website, preferably company number and vat reg too before I'll give them more than a passing glance.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -

Thanks all for the replies, I was suspecting foul play, but you've substantiated it with evidence.
Many thanks again to the contributors.
