Looking to start P90X

Ive posted this on the "I want to do it" board but it may fit better on here...I'm really tempted by the fitness programme P90X. I can see there is a lot of hype surrounding it and want to see for myself if its any good.

One thing which puts me off somewhat is the price, its over 100 quid for the DVDs. Thats without the cost of having any of the right equipment and if I were to take it seriously and buy the energy bars and protein, I'm looking at spending quite a lot of dosh!

I am prepared to fork out if it will get me to where I want to be fitness wise, however I wondered if MSE'ers had any suggestions on how to do P90X as cheaply (but as accurately) as possible.

Thanks for your help!
