Page Boy Outfits

I have already got the young bridesmaid outfits sorted but looking at the page boy outfits as my future MIL wants to buy her son's page boy suit in the sales...

Our colour theme is pale pink and purple. My fiance wants a purple waistcoat and I wanted to get the page boys (5 and 8) the same waistcoat and was looking at BHS but they only do page boy outfits (everything, not just the waistcoat) and its £45 which I don't think my future MIL wants to spend and she wants to get it cheaply.... my mum said that she will buy the waistcoat for him and just get my fiance's mum to buy the trousers, shirt etc, but I really want the waistcoats to be similar to the groom if possible.

Does anyone know anywhere you can get the waitcoats seperately which are good? in purple or pale pink if possible, if not might look at getting normal suits with matching waistcoats.

Fiance's family not paying towards wedding but his mum said she would get the page boy outfit for her side but cheaply... help?!

there's also plenty of waistcoat patterns than you can get online if you could find the material you liked and knew someone who could make them for you

Is your fiance hiring his suit? If he is then most hire companies can sort out waistcoats for children in the same colour ranges. Your MIL could buy him a suit and then you could hire a waistcoat to match your fiance when he sorts out his.

Or let the MIL buy the suit now and if your fiance is buying his suit then sort out the page boy waistcoat at a later date.

Just make sure your MIL accounts for the lad growing between her buying it and April next year.

Thanks, ideally want to get the groom and pageboys matching waistcoats or pageboy and bridesmaid colour matching, it's just the pricing thing with MIL.

Want to really wait for a while before I sort them out as one pageboy is 5 and quite small so he may be a bigger size before wedding and can't really buy one without getting the others. Really regretting asking fiance's step bro to be a pageboy now as getting hasselled about what colour suit he needs etc

Not sure if he is hiring yet, but looking at Youngs Hire as they look good for his suit and they give me discount through work, but not sure if they do childrens waistcoats so have contacted them to ask.

Don't think MIL has taken into account the sizing, thats why I wanted to wait.... hoping Youngs do hire childrens waistcoats or even sell them.

  • hi, my OH, best man and my dad are all hireing their dark grey suits from a local store to us, we are also hireing from them 3 junior waistcoats and 3 junior ties with pocket hankies for my 3 nephews who are 2, 5 and 7 and are our page boys. Weve bought 3 child sized dark grey suits from a store on ebay - rocco clothing for approx £30 a suit which includes trousers, jacket, waistcoat and tie but like you we wanted the boys to all have matching waistcoat and tie.

its cost us £15 per child to hire the waistcoat, tie and hanky so it does push the price up in total per child to £45 all in...
