Smile credit card paid off does this close automatically

Hi

I have been on a dmp for sometime now and finally started to pay off some small accounts one being my smile visa.
I have logged on after 2 weeks of clearing the balance and the account is still showing active with a zero balance not sure if I need to inform smile to close the account or will it be done after a set period of time ?
If anyone could comment if they have done similar in the past

You need to contact them and ask them to close it if you want the account closed. Get it all in writing too.

Thanks if this is left open would it look better on my credit file. I have no card or anything so can't use it

If you have paid it off with no problems it will actually look better on you credit file and there will be no penalty for closing it. I would close it anyway so you are not tempted to use it!
