It has become apparent over the last couple of weeks that this forum has a growing problem with inappropriate posts. I have seen a few threads over the last couple of days that it is near impossible to find any useful information due the amount of MSN style chats or large images being posted. Quite frankly the abuse team cannot spend all their time tidying up threads like these when it’s easy to avoid cluttering the forum as it is at the moment.
Specifically:
1) Please read this thread regarding the use of large and/or flashing images. Regardless even of this issue they make threads very difficult to read and look untidy.
2) No more MSN/instant messenger style posts. The MoneySaving Arms is the place to socialise, but even there I would hope to see more constructive posts than has been present here over recent weeks.
3) The team are still looking at ways to implement a form of rating or gratitude system. There is no need got 3 pages of "Thank You's" - replies with serious questions are often getting lost amongst the volume of replies some threads get.
The MSE team encourage posting as many genuine useful freebies as can be found, but we are going to have to take a stronger line with removing inappropriate posts in this forum from now on. It is now at the stage where genuine freebies are being missed out on due to the clutter which I'm sure is a situation no one wants.
Thanks

Can I just remind everyone that it really isn't necessary to post "Thank You" to every single thread. We now have a thanks button at the bottom of every post. Posting individual "Thank You's" on every thread does tend to clutter the forum and make it look messy.
Thanks
