life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.
  • mymerrywidow...I think the OP's post is referring to bread mix, while you are referring to bread flour only. Bread flour is normally always cheaper than bread mix (and still is in this case), but the prices listed by the OP for the bread mix is pretty cheap as bread mixes go. I must confess to being a lazy moo and using bread mix (chuck in bread maker, add some water, press a few buttons, done) but it still works out cheaper for me than buying actual loaves of bread :)

The last bread flour i got was the hovis one in home bargains for 39p a couple weeks ago, i didn't like it at first but after a couple of loaves i got used to it, its much easier than the bread flour way, I have one hovis one left and am not looking forward to going back to the old way lol the 50p seeded sounds nice so i think i will try that one :) thanks op xx

Bought some of the Italian Herb and Sundried Tomato bread mix this evening - also 50p (it's a third off, normally 75p)

Thanks LittleVoice, this is one of our favourites - I don't seem to be able to find it on the Sainsburys website though, can anyone else spot it? If it's not online then I'll have to think about making a trip instore to stock up :)

we went and bought 8 of the tomato ones and 8 multi seed ones, haven't tried them yet but they smell nice through the bag, on the shelf it said 75p so we took them to the till to ask and they scanned at 50p, so thanks again op as everyone that goes to our local sainburys won't know they are reduced!!
