Hi all.
I am a newbie poster on the board but have often stopped by to pick up ideas and know what a great bunch you seem to be. I really need some advice...
Basically I have a personal loan with Natwest. For a couple of months I have had some financial issues and have paid a couple of payments a few days late. 1 payment was short by £190. I wrote to them explaining the situation and asking them if they could add the £190 deficit to my existing balance and all seemed ok.
This morning I have had a very official letter saying that I owe them £524.64 and if I do not pay it by the 5th August then court action will be taken. I am terrified - where have they got this amount from? What should I do?:(

Ring them up & ask them for a breakdown of the £524.
Makes an arrangment to repay what you owe & that may avoid court action.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
By asking them to ignore some of your payments (the £190) you are falling behind which will attract continual Late Payment markers.
You will eventually fall into Default.
You have already broken the terms of the agreement so it would appear they are calling it in (you don't say if the £524 is the total left of the loan).0
