barclays CDCS ringing us

we are being helped CAP and very good they are aswell,
but yesterday evening after CAP were closed and again today, we have had phone calls from barclays CDCS and on both accounts were very rude.
I tried to explain to them that CAP have already been in contact with Barclays and we have been instructed not to give any information out only to quote the CAP reference number.
they were very rude, and said that they wont deal with CAP as the dept (overdraft) is with us the customer, no matter what I tried to explain they just wouldnt listen. I ended putting the phone down on the guy yesterday.
since CAP are closed for the weekend, can anyone give us any informtion or advice, as we are worried sick at the moment.
I have mailed CAP to tell them, but as I say they are closed at the moment, its not the best time for us at the moment as my mum has just passed away and we are trying to cope with that.
we are making payments to all our other depts through cap and all has been fine, except for CDCS who just seem to not want to deal with CAP.
many thanks for any help or advice.
edit...just as I write this the postman has been and we have had two statements from barclays showing two payments from cap to barclays being made on the 20th July, why hasnt this been passed on to CDCS or dont the departments talk to each other, should I just inform CDCS that payments have been made and give them the dates of the payments next time they ring or will they jsut try to demand full payment.

I can't advise you on this-I am sure that someone who can will be along very shortly, the people on this board are brilliant for helping- but I just wanted to say I'm really sorry to hear of your situation and for the loss of your Mum

I'm not sure I'd waste any more energy on them to be honest. You've tried talking to them and they are being obstructive. As you say you can see they've got a payment already.
I'm sure failing to deal with an appointed representative such as CCCS etc is against OFT guidlines and I'm sure CAP come in the same category.
If they phone again - either refuse to talk to them (well what's the point if they don't listen to anything you say?), or just say I with CAP my ref. no. is blah and put the phone down or frankly ignore them.
There is a letter you can send on here somewhere that tells them that they can communicate in writing with you and that will be fine thank you very much (you can report them if the ignore this). I hope someone can find the link for you.

many thanks for the replies, feeling a little bit better now,
thought we had, had the last of the phone calls as every one is being paid, even if only a small amount.0 -
Absolutely, don't talk to them, send them a registered letter saying exactly what you told them on the phone, and insist on any communications being in writing, as any more phone calls could constitute harassment. don't even answer the phone if you know who it is.
Remember their job is to make you afraid to try & get you to agree to paying them money (or more money than they're getting!).

Send them the letter below and if they continue to call tell them you only wish to be contacted in writing, don't go through the security check and hang up.
Dear Sirs,
Account No: XXXXXXXX
I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing. I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls and I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only. I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine. Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company may be recorded and used in evidence and I expect this harassment to cease immediately.
Yours faithfullyIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

I didnt want to start another thread as its based on the same thing,
we have also just started to get calls for my wife from RMA concerning my wifes barclay account.
how does this work ?
cap contacted all the companies we owe money to, they have all come to an agreement with CAP what we will pay them back each month and payments have already started.
so then, why do companies such as RMA start to contact you ? why do barclays sell on the dept to them or what ever they do when we have started to make payments to them ? dont barclays tell RMA that payments are being payed ?
if payments are being made to barclays from CAP, can RMA do anything against us for not cooperating with them ?0
