Single named loan but two used it!!!
Can anyone help...........????
A few years ago I took out a loan with my then partner but I stupidly put it in my name!!!!
We have since split up and I have been left with the repayments for a loan we both used.
I have tried asking her for assistance but keep meeting a brick wall.
I know I probably dont have any leg to stand on but if anyone knows of loop holes and ways I could get money from her then please let me know
Thank You

Two hopes I'm afraid, Bob and no.0

small claims court, or hitmanDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

A hitman would be throwing good money after bad........bl**dy satisfying though.0

Small claims for what? unfortunately the beneficiary of the loan is completely irrelevant only the contracted parties are important and since your partner isn't one you're up a brown-coloured creek without a paddle.Thinking critically since 1996....0

But you didnt take a loan out with your partner, you alone took the loan out in your name and shared the money with your partner.
Unless your partner willingly coughs up then you just have to suck it up I'm afraid.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I did the same, it sucks bigtime but nothing you can do unfortunately except to pay it off....its a horrible feeling but lessons learnt0

As your partner at the time, it is likely you shared finances, so both benefitted from any money or resources in the relationship, which then cannot be unpicked into 'I bought that carton of orange juice so that sip you had means you owe me 20p'. If it helps, even if the loan had been in both names, they would have appeared 'jointly and severally' I think they call it - they would still chase either one of you for the full amount, and if she couldn't/wouldn't pay, the best you could hope for would be if you both defaulted and ruined both of your credit records. She's taken you for a ride, sorry to hear it, unlucky.0

I was that partner at the time and I'm sorry, I'm not paying you a thing.

You've no chance unless you have some good blackmail material and you enjoy prison."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0
