Barclaycard payment query

Hi,
I am running my own DMP. Unfortunately, I forgot to send last month's Barclaycard payment
(genuine oversight - really had thought I had paid them) and have, as expected, received a letter from them.
The letter is from the collections department asking for £341.19 payment to cover missed payment and arrears and a request to continue paying the agreed monthly £146.57.
However, I have also received my monthly statement. They have kindly completely frozen all interest charges for some time now and I have been paying approx £80 monthly as per statements for months. The statement is asking for £161.64 which would equate to 2 months' payments.
I am not sure what to pay - obviously I do not want to lose my interest-free payment plan and can afford to pay the £161.64. Paying the £341.19 would really stretch me.
It seems the collection dept are working with different figures than the statement people - who have been happy with the £80 payments.
What do you think I should do? I am anxious about calling them as I haven't had much telephone contact with my creditors (because I am a wuss!). Whatever I pay, I can pay it Monday so they don't have to wait long........
Thank you for reading.

Hi there, I'm far from one of the great experts on here, but in my opinion, I'd give them a call, apologise saying that you had totally forgot, and can pay the amount they have asked for, I have found in the past if you are kind and friendly and very apologetic they are usually sympathetic, assure them it won't happen again..You sound like me, being scared to ring them, it is daunting but I'm learning that burying your head in the sand doesn't do you any good, as the problem doesn't go away and your stomach doesn't stop churning worrying about it! Be brave and do it!!

You said you can't really afford to stretch that far (to the £3++), which to me sounds like if you really really had to, you could. Do not use these words when you ring them. Say you can't afford to pay them end of.
If you risk losing the frozen interest then it might be worth just paying and having a tight month it could save you money in the long run.29th June -Beginning Credit Score 422
£2575
12th July - Credit score 471
22nd August - Credit Score 550
Still very poor just but only just!
Remaining to pay off: £1370.950
