Financial Times online subscription

The Financial Times website are running a promotion at the moment where you can get a 4 week subscription for £1. This is a great deal, and I'm seriously considering signing up. However, I would want to cancel my subscription as soon as the offer is up, as I can't afford to pay the full price. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience cancelling an FT subscription, and if so how easy/difficult it was. Are they one of the companies that cancel your subscription with no fuss or do they play hard ball?! According to this page, "Although you may notify us of your intention to cancel at any time, such notice will only take effect at the end of your then current subscription period." Does this mean I could sign up for the offer, then cancel the next day so I don't have to worry about it, but still get the four weeks' access? Any guidance will be much appreciated!

I'm not sure they are the same company, but i had a similar subscription to the Economist and had no problems cancelling.
I think i'll pick this offer up seems good. If its direct debit, you can cancel via your online banking. Im also going to pick up the Economists 12 issues for £1 offer too!0
