I want to repair a digi camera

Could anyone advise where to have a digi camera repaired as daughter dropped it, its only a few months old. The screen is broken but everything else seems to be alright, we have been quoted £135-£150 to repair, however camera only cost £200, but if I claim on my insurance there is £50 excess and my premium will increase for £40 apparently

  • Hi, this happened to me..... one of my children dropped my camera and the screen smashed - i went along to my local Boots photo centre where i was advised it was not worth getting fixed and basically told i would be better off to purchase a new one. I carried on using my camera for a short time then bought a new one - i know people do sell them one ebay with smashed screen's, so it might be worth looking into. I wouldn't claim on your insurance it's not worth it!
