hi guys, i am now debt free and plan to start making overpayments to my mortgage, it wont be a lot monthly maybe only £50 or so but I am hoping to supplement that with birthday/christmas/cashback and any unexpected money (LOTTERY WIN - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE:j) Anyway just wanted to say hi, i enjoy reading all the diarys, great inspiration guys

Welcome - you're right CathT - I've taken on board loads of ideas here, cooking, saving etc, and over time it really does make a difference. Good to see you making positive steps babysteps (pardon the pun).Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045
Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 20370 -
