The secret world of a credit underwriter

Hi guys... Hope you are all well and looking forward to the new year! I am...

Remember my Ex Analyst thread - Just been having a mull over it and its that big now its lost control. :o So I thought Id start again.....

If anyone has any CREDIT underwriting questions, I have many years of experience and still follow the profession. I have formal qualifications in financial services and specialise in unsecured credit.

Please fire away, Ill try keep on top of things... Also if anyone else reads a question, and indeed feels that they can explain better than me, or Im wrong even.. please post as the clearer this thread for the 'questionees' the better !

Lets go guys.......

It would be interesting just to understand the process. What info you get to go on and how you use it to come to a decision.

James - depends on lender, but nearly all use voters roll, credit history, current commitments, current lending against your salary, how long at address, (some) time in employment, are you paying on time. Just a few, but probably the most important ones
