claiming back charges

Hi, this is my first posting, just want to know if anyone who is making reduced payments to credit cards has also requested back any charges they have received from them for goin over limit? i am not sure if it would be possible to do this? Also, is it more advisable to go on reduced payment for 6 months before opting for full and final settlement? x

Though not exactly the same as you - I have a large OD that i am going to make reduced payments to (though the bank dont know it yet) - and I am claiming back over £900 in charges, I have started the ball rolling so to speak and sent a SAR off and received all my statements this morning so will be now asking for them back.
I am pretty sure you can do the same with CC's - have a look at the Consumer Action Group website and have a read through their forums, maybe even post asking the same question, though I shoudn't see why you can't - after all these charges were "unlawful" whether you are making reduced payments or not.
Anyway, they are really helpful on the CAG website so am sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.
