Question relating to our credit reports?

A couple/few questions for you :D

When applying for credit say for example on your credit report you have three addresses, but you only give two on your applications, if at the third address you have a default....will they pick it up?

Do they have to search your address of the default before it will flag up that there is a default?

The reason I ask this is because on my equifax report (which I am currently disputing) I have a default on a third address which shown. But not all my creditors have searched this third address.

ALSO
Another question, if a person has a joint account, they separate but do not separate the account and it goes into default if they get their name removed from the account, and the other person signs a form accepting responsibility for the defaults, can they get it removed from their report?

If the addresses are all on your equifax report that you see then if they search equifax they will see the default even if you don't mention that address.

It would be very very unsual for a bank to agree to remove a person's name from a defaulted debt - have you actually got the bank to this stage to remove the name from the account? Even if you have I suspect (but don't know for certain) that the entry would still remain on the credit report - because the default happened whilst the account was in their name.

Yes, the bank agreed as long as the two holders sign the forms. Just wondered if they would remove the account. Do they have the ability to do so at all? If they wanted to...could they remove it?

I expect they could - as far as I know they can pretty much do anything to an entry in their own name.

If this is the last/only joint account remember to file a notice of disassociation.
